by Remediant, on Dec 27, 2022
Remediant’s SecureONE solution protects against lateral movement by automatically discovering and removing always-available administrative access.
Frisco, TX, December 27, 2022 – Netwrix, a cybersecurity vendor that makes data security easy, today announced its acquisition of Remediant, whose SecureONE software delivers continuous privilege discovery and remediation. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
With this acquisition, Netwrix enriches its privileged access management (PAM) offering, which delivers just-in-time access as part of a zero standing privilege (ZSP) security model. In addition, Netwrix enhances its technical capabilities in the Identify and Protect functions of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Netwrix customers will benefit from SecureONE’s automatic, rapid and continuous discovery capabilities and just-in-time access protection, which scale easily to the largest IT environments. Aligned with Netwrix’s ZSP approach, the solution will enable organizations to reduce their identity attack surface area even more.
This combination will also enable Remediant customers to expand their security infrastructure with Netwrix’s extensive product portfolio. In particular, by identifying, classifying and protecting sensitive data and detecting suspicious activity around that data, Remediant customers will be able to reduce risk and make more informed decisions about how to protect what matters most.
“We are excited to strengthen our offering in privileged access management to empower organizations with even better resistance to advanced threats. Netwrix now is the go-to company for protection from cyberattacks that leverage privileged access and lateral movement techniques,” said Steve Dickson, CEO of Netwrix.
“As ZSP evangelists and innovators of the just-in-time approach, we are thrilled to join forces with Netwrix, which has been promoting this modern security approach for several years,” said Tim Keeler, co-founder and CTO of Remediant. "Together, we will be able to better meet the increased privacy, security and governance demands of organizations worldwide.”
